I love this game like the most of us here. As a kid I never managed to achieve a playthrough on Hard Mode or higher. So this is my contribution to this Game:
As a Masterpiece of a game it deserves a well made and beatifully played speedrun.
Here I show Axelay's skills on highest difficulty (Very Hard Mode) which leads to the best ending (never seen before).

My highest Score in the first Level was 57460 which barely overtakes the set score of 57300 (I wanted to now if its beatable and indeed it is, but on very High Difficulty because, there are much more Enemies around)
My highest score in a sigle Playthrough is 784570 (also played on very High Hard Mode)
And my total Highest Score (which I know of) is 1573000. In theory (if you play all 4 modes after oneanother a totalscore of over 2000000 (2 million) should be possible wothout Score Farming.
